The client had lived abroad and asked for a traditional "Weinstube" (wine tasting room) to be built around a stunning 17th-century table he had bought in Switzerland many years before. Having researched a number of historic Swiss collections, we designed the three-sided bench and plate rail pictured here based on the antique "stube", where good will and good spirits persist to this day. The pieces are crafted of solid white oak and measure some six by four feet.
